Adjusting height and angle
Share
The Wide Bike Seat uses a standard universal mounting system, which means height and angle adjustments are made through bike's seat post and clamp—not the seat itself.
How to adjust:
Height — Loosen the seat post clamp bolt, slide the seat up or down to your preferred height, then tighten securely

Angle — Most seat posts have a tilting mechanism. Loosen the clamp slightly, tilt the seat forward or backward to your comfort preference, then re-tighten
Finding the Right Seat Height:
Level with hip bone — When sitting on your seat with pedal at the lowest point, your leg should be nearly straight (about 25-30° bend at the knee). This minimizes strain and maximizes power.
Quick test — Place your heel on the pedal at 6 o'clock. If your leg is fully extended, the seat is too high.
Adjust gradually — Move in small increments (quarter-inch at a time) and test-ride to find your sweet spot.
Finding the Right Seat Angle:
Start neutral — Most riders prefer the seat level or very slightly tilted forward (1-2°).
Avoid nose-down — Tilting too far forward puts pressure on your hands and upper body—tilt only if you find yourself sliding backward.
Avoid nose-up — This creates pressure on sensitive areas; level is usually most comfortable.
Test it — Small angle changes can make a big difference, so adjust and ride to confirm comfort.
Pro tip: Since you've tried multiple seats, your body knows what comfort feels like.
